Repair Risks - Electronic repairs are never 100% risk‑free. Some devices are already on the edge of failure and may become permanently unusable during a repair attempt, even when everything is done correctly by LuckWire Tech Repair. This is especially true for liquid‑damaged devices where parts can short, corrode, and fail over time.
Many phones and tablets use glued‑on screens and fragile flex cables. Opening these devices requires carefully prying the screen to access internal components, and there is always a risk that glass can crack or parts such as Touch ID / Face ID or other sensors can fail during or after service. These risks exist even when handled properly.
Estimates - Quotes given by LuckWire Tech Repair are estimates, not final promises. Some issues only show up once the device is opened or after parts are removed and tested.
If the estimate needs to change, you will be contacted first and must approve the updated price before any additional work is done. If you decline the updated repair, only the diagnostic or repair attempt fee will be due.
Limited Shop Warranty - LuckWire Tech Repair provides a 90‑day limited warranty on completed repairs starting from the date the work is finished. This covers defects in parts and workmanship directly related to the original repair.
If the same issue returns within 90 days and is confirmed to be related to our original work, LuckWire Tech Repair will re‑repair or replace the part at no additional labor charge.
Warranty Exclusions - This 90‑day warranty does not cover:
- New or unrelated issues that appear after the original repair.
- Physical damage after service (drops, cracks, pressure, bending, extreme heat/cold).
- Liquid damage or moisture exposure after service.
- Devices opened, modified, or repaired by any other shop or person after our repair.
- Software problems, app issues, data loss, viruses, or system bugs.
If a device is physically tampered with, cracked, bent, exposed to liquid, or worked on by another party during the 90‑day period, the LuckWire Tech Repair limited warranty is void.
Some services performed by LuckWire Tech Repair may void the manufacturer’s warranty. By using our service, you agree LuckWire Tech Repair is not responsible for any manufacturer warranty being voided.
Warranty Repairs - If your device fails again within 90 days and appears related to the original issue, bring it back as soon as possible. LuckWire Tech Repair will inspect the device and:
- If the issue is covered, the repair will be redone at no additional labor charge.
- If the issue is separate or caused by new damage, you will receive a new estimate and can choose whether to proceed.
Refunds are not provided once a repair is completed. The remedy under this policy is re‑repair or part replacement when the warranty applies.
Diagnostic / Repair Attempt Fee - For devices that require deep diagnosis, board‑level work, or have prior repair attempts, a $39.99 diagnostic / repair attempt fee may apply if the repair is unsuccessful or declined. This fee covers technician time spent testing, disassembling, and attempting to restore the device.
Replacement Parts - LuckWire Tech Repair typically uses parts sourced from trusted suppliers. Parts you supply yourself are installed at your own risk and are not covered by any LuckWire Tech Repair warranty.
If a customer‑supplied part is defective, incompatible, or causes damage, LuckWire Tech Repair is not responsible, and no warranty will apply to that work.
Data & Backups - LuckWire Tech Repair does not guarantee the safety of your data. Hardware failure, software errors, or repairs can lead to data loss even when handled carefully.
Customers are strongly encouraged to back up important files before any repair. By leaving a device for service, you agree LuckWire Tech Repair is not liable for any loss of data, accounts, photos, or other information stored on the device.
Repair Videos - Customers 18+ may opt-in via mail-in form for repair filming (social/blog use). No filming without consent; videos deleted post-upload.
Pickup Time Limit & Storage - Devices should be picked up promptly after you are notified the repair is complete. LuckWire Tech Repair will hold devices for 60 days after the first notice that the device is ready.
- After 60 days, LuckWire Tech Repair may treat the device as abandoned and may recycle, resell, or use it to recover parts and service costs.
- Storage beyond that period is not guaranteed and is at the discretion of LuckWire Tech Repair.
For mail-in, devices ship back immediately post-repair. Unclaimed returns held 60 days before disposal/recycling to recover costs.
